About Fairway Bio
Arne started his career in nuclear physics, earning a PhD in Belgium before moving to California for a postdoc at Stanford University. There, he dove into molecular imaging and helped build a high-resolution clinical PET camera — an experience that sparked a lasting passion for instrument development and interdisciplinary engineering.

Over the years, Arne has blended software, hardware, and automation to solve tough problems in life sciences. He’s led teams at companies like Synthego and insitro, developing advanced workflows for purification, cell culture, NGS sample prep, compound management, and microscopy. His work has consistently focused on scaling processes, improving reliability, and bridging science with engineering.

From building electromechanical systems and control software to managing product roadmaps and leading automation teams, Arne brings a rare mix of technical depth and strategic thinking. Through Fairway Bio, he now helps biotech teams design smart, scalable lab systems that actually work — and keep working.

Over the years, Arne has built strong relationships with experts who can be brought in as needed to complement any project. Whether you're working with Tecan, Hamilton, or other liquid handling platforms, Fairway Bio can connect you with automation engineers who know the systems inside out.

Need help integrating data pipelines or LIMS with your instruments? Looking to push the limits of advanced microscopy or imaging analysis? Or maybe you’re navigating complex strategy questions around scaling operations, moving toward GxP, or launching a new product — Fairway Bio can bring in the right people at the right time.

This flexible model allows Fairway Bio to stay lean while offering big capabilities. Every project is approached with the right mix of technical depth, practical experience, and strategic foresight — without the overhead of a large consultancy. What's in a name ?

In open water, a fairway marks a safe path — a place where ships can chart their course with confidence, free from constant direction. In golf, it's the stretch between tee and green — a focused path from start to finish. At Fairway Bio, we bring that same spirit to biotech. Whether you’re scaling cell culture, designing automation, or integrating data systems, we help you navigate the complexity with clarity. Our goal is to light the path, then get out of the way — so your science can move forward, faster and smarter.
